DESATURATION

Le thème de cette semaine au concours N&B est désaturation. J'ai fait de nombreux tests avec plusieurs photos. Pas très joli. Puis j'ai trouvé cette image prise au Parc du Dr Sun Yat Sen. La photo en couleur est belle, mais j'aime bien l'effet un peu surréaliste que l'unique présence du vert a donné!

This week's theme on B&W Photocontest is desaturation. I have made many tests with other images. But the results were'nt good. Then I found this photo taken in the Dr Sun Yat Sen Park. A nice image, but I like the surrealist effect I realized by keeping only the green colours of the foliage.

AMOUR FÉLINCAT LOVE

Merlin adore se faire gratouiller sous le menton. Nous aimons beaucoup ce chat, et il nous aime à sa manière. Son petit nez a la forme d'un coeur. :)

Merlin loves to be scratched under the chin. We love that cat very much, and he loves us in his special way. His little nose is shaped like a hearth! :)

ANGEANGEL

Certains disent que les anges sont de vieilles âmes qui n'ont plus à se réincarner et sont là pour nous venir en aide. Quoi qu'il en soit, j'aime l'iconographie de ces personnages. Celui présenté ici a été photographié dans le cimetière de St-Jean-Port-Joli, un petit village du Québec. Cet été, la température a permis la prolifération de magnifiques lichens verts et oranges sur toutes les tombes de ce cimetière. Une merveille pour l'oeil!

Some peoples say that the Angels are old Souls that have stopped the cycle of incarnation. They are there to help Humanity. I love the iconography of the Angels! This photo has been taken in a cemetery, in St-jean-Port-Joli, a small village about one hour from Quebec City. This Summer, the weather has allowed the proliferation of some very nice orange and green lichens on the tombstones. Wonderful for the eye!

UN DIMANCHE APRÈS-MIDIA SUNDAY AFTERNOON

À Limoilou, en septembre, il y a toujours une fête familiale. Cette année, on avait choisi le 9 septembre comme date, mais ce samedi-là, il pleuvait à boire debout. Le lendemain, les organisateurs ont tout de même décidé de présenter la parade de mode. La scène était placée en plein milieu de la rue, juste en face de chez moi. Fantastique! :) De mon balcon, j'ai donc pu prendre un tas de belles photos, non seulement des mannequins, mais aussi des gens dans la foule. Les vêtements et coiffures créés par des designers québécois étaient magnifiques.

In September, in Limoilou (a parish of Québec City) there is a family fair. It was supposed to be on the 9th, this year, but that day, it was raining cats and dogs! The day after, the organizers had decided to present the fashion show. That was just in front of my apartment. From my balcony, on the third floor, I took many nice pics of the models and of peoples in the crowd. The clothings and hairstyles were from local designers. Very nice!

RETOUR AU TRAVAILBACK TO WORK

Vendredi dernier, Lapin Poulain m'a accompagné au travail. Ça n'a pas été facile. Ma papatte va prendre encore quelques mois avant de se rétablir complètement. :)

Last Friday, Lapin Poulain came with me to work. Not easy. My leg will take a few more months to heal completely. :)

L'ESPLANADE LOUIS-RIEL AU COUCHER DU SOLEILLOUIS RIEL ESPLANADE AT SUNSET

L'Esplanade Louis-Riel est un pont piétonnier qui permet de traverser la Rivière Rouge, entre St-Boniface et Winnipeg. Un restaurant a été construit en plein milieu. Il ne faut pas avoir le vertige pour pouvoir y manger!

Louis-Riel Esplanade is a pedestrian bridge over The Red River between St-Boniface and Winnipeg. A restaurant has been built in the middle of the bridge. You shouldn't have vertigo to eat there!
