OK! Voilà le temps venu de vous parler vraiment de mon voyage dans l'Ouest canadien. Un mois en retard, mais mon accident m'a un peu retardée! Avant mon départ, quand j'étais à la gare d'autobus de Québec, j'ai acheté un petit lapin porte-clé bleu. J'avait décidé de faire comme dans le film "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" quand on voit voyager le nain de jardin de son père. J'ai donc pris, tout au cours de mon aventure, de nombreuses images de mon petit lapin, que j'ai bien sûr appelé Lapin Poulain. Et je vous présente le petit film que j'ai fait avec toutes les photos de Monsieur Poulain. Deux jours de travail! J'espère que vous aimerez. Ce petit film est un amuse-gueule. Les vraies photographies suivront. Avec, bien sûr au travers, quelques participations à des concours. On ne se refait pas... Hehhehe! :)

OK! The time has come to show you the pictures of my trip to the Canadian West. I know I am one month late, but my accident has been slowing me down. Before I left Quebec City, i bought, at the Bus Station, a little plush: a blue rabbit. I wanted to take some pics like in the movie "Amelie" when the Garden dwarf is sending some photos of its journey to Amelie's father. So I have taken many pics of my little rabbit (called Lapin Poulain) in front of many places during my trip. And here is the Little Moooovie I made with those photos of Monsieur Poulain. A two-days work! I hope you will like it. It's an apetizer. The real pics will follow. With a few participation to some contests. One can't change! Hehehhehe! :)

En regardant par la fenêtre de la navette entre Dorval et la gare d'autobus de Montréal, j'ai vu cet homme et j'ai trouvé son allure intéressante. Je ne savais pas à ce moment là que ce serait à cause du panneau de signalisation que je publierais cette image.

Looking through the window of the bus between the Dorval Airport and Montreal, I saw this very interresting character. I did'nt know then that I would publish this picture for the street sign and not for the man himself.

Not late this week! :) Illustration made after a photo taken by my aunt Juliette. Her brothers and sisters, on my grand-father's farm, at the beginning of the thirties. The pic was really large, so I had to cut it in two parts. You can see the original here.

Statuette africaine en ivoire. Cette beauté m'a été donnée par ma mère, il y a quelques années. Elle date des années 50 ou 60, de la période précédant le bannissement de l'ivoire africain des marchés. (Malheureusement, il existe encore un marché illégal des défenses d'éléphants).

Le thème de cette semaine à Pxite ne m'inspirait pas. Je ne voulais surtout pas mettre une de mes innombrables photos de neige. Ni une photo d'une mariée en blanc... Hehehhehe! Mais j'ai eu un peu de mal à prendre cette photo. Pourquoi?... Mademoiselle Princesse, voyons! Cette peste m'a.... mais voyez donc plutôt l'hitoire de cette photo sur mon autre blog. :)

An ivory sculpture made in Africa. This beauty is probably from the fifties or sixties, before the ban of the international trade in African elephant ivory. (Sadly, we know that today, there is still an illegal market of elephant tusks).

This week's theme on Pxite was not inspiring for me. I did not want to post one of my picture of snow...or a bride in white...Hehehhehehehe! But I had some problems taking this pic. Why? Miss Princesse! This little pest has.... but take a look on my other blog. :)

UNE FÉE BLEUE A BLUE FAIRY

J'ai créé cette image en travaillant avec Daz Studio et Photoshop. C'est fantastique. Trop facile même. Le plus difficile, c'est de comprendre les fonctionnalités du programme. Il n'y a pas de didacticiel... On peut changer les caractéristiques du visage. La moue de ma petite fée, c'est un baiser... Mais on dirait qu'elle dit: "MMMM... Pas encore une photo! " Heheheheh! :)

I have created this image with Daz Studio et Photoshop. Fantastic. Even too easy! The most difficult part is to understand the program. No tutorial! It is possible to morph the face. The pout on my little fairy's lips is supposed to be a kiss... But in reality, I find that she seems to say "Mmmmm... Not another pic!" Hehehheheheh :)

JorjDotOrg PhotoHunt: A PERSON UNE PERSONNE

Une photo prise au Jardin du Dr Sun Yat-Sen, à Vancouver. Il se dégageait de cette scène une grande tranquilité. J'ai compris bien vite que c'était à cause de la présence calme de l'homme. Il était en train de prendre soin des lotus. In bougeait à peine. Une fois seulement, il s'est retourné. Je n'ai pris que deux images, l'atmosphère étant à la méditation...

A photography taken in Dr Sun Yat-Sen Park in Vancouver. The place was really quiet. I realized rapidly that it was because of the calm presence of the man. He was taking care of the lotus plants. He was moving very slowly. Once, he turned his head. I took only two images, I felt meditative.

J'ai déjà envoyé un image similaire il y a quelques temps. Ce sont mes souliers de graduation. Je pense que je les ai achetés en 1969. Je me rappelle qu'ils étaient très inconfortables. :)

I had already posted a similar image. Those are my graduation shoes. I think they are from 1969. I remember them as very uncomfortable! :)

Aujourd'hui, j'ai téléchargé un nouveau programme d'illustration 3-D. Ça s'appelle Daz-Studio. On peut créer des images fantastiques, mais limitées. Pour avoir plus de choix, il faut acheter d'autres programmes. Mais celui que j'ai eu gratuitement m'a permis de m'amuser en ce dimanche pluvieux. Puis j'ai décidé de faire un petit film. A peu près 100 images, mais le film est très saccadé. Évidemment, je n'ai aucune expérience en animation. Et faire un film d'animation en quelques heures, ce n'est pas évident. Pas grave. J'ai eu du fun! Hehehhe!

Today, I have downloaded a new free program. Illustration in 3-D on Daz-Studio. You can create fantastic images, but it's a little bit limited. For more choice, you have to pay. BUT I had much pleasure creating images on this rainy Sunday afternoon. Then, I have decided to make a little movie with my creations. About 100 images later, I have my animation. Far from perfect, though, and a bit fitful... I have no experience with animation. And create one in a few hours is not easy. Not important. I had FUN! :)

Samedi le 12 août 2006. Dernière partie de mon voyage dans l'Ouest. L'autobus entre Montréal et Québec. Malgré ma jambe douloureuse, je ne pouvais m'empêcher de prendre des photos. Des voitures, sur l'autoroute 20. J'aurais aimé que l'autobus aille encore plus vite...

Satuday August the 12th 2006. The last part of my Western Journey. I was in the bus between Montreal and Quebec, on the 20 Highway. Taking pics of the traffic, by the window, even if my leg was painful! Though I would have liked the bus to be more rapid...
