ORIGAMI

J'aime jouer avec le papier. L'origami est un art difficile, et les explications fournies ne sont pas toujours très claires, mais j'ai réussi à plier ce petit poisson.

I love to play with papers. Origami is a difficult art, and the way to fold something is not always clear, but I managed to make that little fish.

SUPER HERO

Dans la réalité, les super héros existent. Ce sont des gens que vous ne reconaîtrez pas dans la rue. Ils ne portent pas de cape... Mais ils font face à l'adversité avec courage. Ils sourient, même si tout va mal. Ils tombent et se relèvent, sans maudire le destin ou leur Dieu... et recommencent à zéro, s'il le faut. J'ai rencontré certains de ces héros. Ils ne faisaient pas de bruit. Ils étaient ordinaires. Et par eux, j'ai compris qu'un Super-Héro dort en chacun de nous.

In real life, there are super heroes. But you won't recognize them on the street. They don't wear a cape.... They simply are courageous people who smile even if everything in their life is wrong. They fall and can rapidly get back on their feet. They don't curse Destiny or their God, and begin again a new life if needed. I have met a few of those people. They are ordinary people. And they made me realize that a Super Hero sleeps in each one of us.

NOIR ET BLANC BLACK AND WHITE

Pour moi, l'hiver se décline en trois couleurs: noir, blanc et bleu. Les journées *bleu et blanc* sont des journées de plein soleil, joyeuses, des journées où j'aime bien me promener ou observer ce qu'il se passe dehors et où le froid est souvent intense. Les journées *noir et blanc* sont des périodes parfois tristes ou nostalgiques, où je préfère rester à l'intérieur. Des moments propices à l'introspection. J'aime les deux, mais parfois, trop de journées *noir et blanc* rendent mon hiver difficile...

For me, Winter is three colours: black, white and blue. The *white and blue* days are sunny and happy. I like to go outside on those days even if they are the coldest of Winter. But most of the time I prefer to stay inside, enjoying the nice light. The *black and white* days are sometimes sad or nostalgic and I always prefer to stay inside. Those days are favourable to introspection. In fact I love both kinds of days, but sometimes, too much of *black and white* days make my Winter more difficult...

FRUITS

Janvier et février... Les mois les plus froids de l'année. On annonce des températures en dents de scie pour les prochaines semaines. Ce qui veut dire très froid, puis très doux. Pluie et gel. Portes d'auto gelées. Stationnements en patinoire. Habituel? Non, parce que cette année, nous n'avons presque pas de neige. Cela sigifie que les plantes ne profitent pas de la protection de l'habituelle couche de neige. Et que les gels et dégels successifs en feront mourir plusieurs. Ce qui signifie que les animaux ne comprennent plus rien à ce qu'il se passe. On a entendu aux nouvelles la semaine dernière que des ours étaient sortis d'hibernation à cause de la chaleur... Oui oui, ici au Québec...Ils sont retournés à leur sommeil, mais leur cycle naturel est perturbé. Et ce qui signifie aussi que les pauvres humains sont très stressés. Cela se sent dans le contact que j'ai avec mes patients. Le doux engourdissement de janvier fait place à un stress important... Ceux qui disent qu'ils ne croient pas au réchauffement planétaire vivent sur la lune..... Ou mentent.... Ça me rend triste. Quel rapport avec ma photo?... Aucun! Juste une jolie image pour nous faire rêver aux douceurs estivales. Mais aurons nous droit aux douceurs estivales cette année? Ou la température ne connaîtra-t-elle pas les mêmes excès que ceux auxquels nous assistons maintenant?...J'espère que non...

January and February are the coldest months of the year. But this years, the temperature is up and down... Meaning very cold or very warm. Rain and frost. Car frozen doors. Icy parkings. The usual Winter? Nope! There is almost no snow this year. Meaning that the plants have no protection against the successive freezings and thaws and that many will die. Meaning that the animals don't understand what's happening. Last week, there were news on teevee about bears getting out of their hibernation. Yes! Here in Quebec Province! Now, they're back sleeping, but their natural cycle is disturbed. And meaning that the human beeings are stressed. More that usual as I can observe every day with my patients...The usual numbing of this cold period is not there this year. Stress has taken it's place! Those who say that the planet is not changing live on the Moon.... or lie! Makes me sad. Any connection with my pic? No... I just wanted to put a nice photo to illustrate the softness of Summer. But will there be any softness this Summer or will the temperature go up and down in an excessive way, like now? Hope not...

L'une vient de Bolivie et l'autre de Chine. Elles n'auraient jamais dû se rencontrer... Aujourd'hui elles ont 12 et 13 ans... Des ados...Et je les adore! Ce sont mes nièces.

One is from Bolivia, the other one is from China. Never they should have met... Today they are 12 and 13 years old. Teens... And I love them! They are my nieces.
