ILLUSTRATIONFRIDAY: NIGHT.

Nuits schizophrènes. Schizophrenic nights.

Sometimes, during the night, I dream of beeing someone else. More than a dream. I AM the Other. My Spirit away, in another dimension, another life, another I. Those are the nightmares of my schizophrenic nights.*

*Excerpt from a novel project.

I like the wood grain background effect and your 'other' self is scary! Mwhahahaaa

In fact, the original drawing is softer. I have enhanced it with Photoshop so it could be more dramatic. The text does'nt describes me... But... MWAHAHAHAHA! It's an unfinishd drawing and an unfinished novel... SNIFFFFF.

You're never alone when you're schizophrenic.

C'est un dessin fabuloso. The quality of the line, unchanged from the original I'm sure, is particularly sriking and elegant.

vfm4: Thanks! The original title of this unfinished painting was "reincarnation" but I wanted it to be a little more dramatic and spooky. Soooo, I took an excerpt from the novel I'm trying to write and put it with the drawing. A lot of unfinished things here...;o)
Mei: Merci lâ lâ. Coudons tu viens tu de Chicout.....? Moi oui.. hahaha
Gary: That's the truth... But I would not like to REALLY be Schiz.
And I LOVE William Shatner. After all, I'm a Trekkie. Isn't he from TORONTO????
Andrea: Merci beaucoup! This drawing is from a serie of sketches I made during my years at Art School. We had a (nude) model changing poses every 30 seconds. Fabulous way of using the right side of your brain.

Au contraire. According to IMDB.com, Monsieur Shatner was born in Montréal.

Oups... I think I knew that... But forgot. HE WAS BORN IN 1931!!! The love of my teenage (with Leonard Nimoy) is now 74!!!! Can't beleive it! Thanks for the link.

Very dark and powerful...a real doppelganger kind of illustration! I love the muscular figure and the wood grain in the background. It's scary but mesmerizing.

It's like when your mind is awake and your body is asleep and you're paralized and can always hear voices that aren't really there (or you are in a state of mind that you can hear the voices that are always there...)

merlinprincesse a dit…

Thanks Carla, but what is doppelganger...?
Tony: Glurp! You are frightening me...But a really good interpretation!!!

LDahl a dit…

It moves!!! Wow... the pattern behind it makes various combinations and so every time I looked, the figure had shifted, like an optical illusion. WOW!!!
fun and delightfully creepy at the same time.

The Unknown: Thanks and LOVE
Melba: Out of body experiences...I think that too. And it is probably more fantastic than spooky. Thanks for the comment!
