OH WOW! The scarlet colour of the adult is AMAZING!

MerlinPrincesse, you did NOT tell me Shutterdya's topic this week is Bird, nor last week was MOON!

Hohum ... the submissions are all WAY too professional anyway ... just like yours ...

You are the most professional bird photograph that I know, Anon! GO FOR IT!!!! *but forget the duck's butt and yuckey-pokey and duckey*... Hehhehehe... :)))) The Scarlet Ibis was photographed at the Vancouver Aquarium....:) Easy.

It is so flaming red, it is absolutely marvelous and oh I am out of words so I'll copy Anon - WOW!!!

Okay I have recovered. I love the way you captured the beautiful adult and the colorless young. It reveals so much.

I went to ShutterWorld and I don't see any reason to keep Anon from posting one of her lovely photos. I lookd at the entries and MerlinPrincess I saw four images that captured my attention and imagination and one of them was yours.

Like Ces says, the contrast between the two birds speaks! Photographing birds is the most difficult subject, they move even when standing still! However yes, being within an encloser would asure the subject didn't fly away and they don't mind the sound of a snapping twig in a zoo either :) Maybe that's where I will have to go to continue posting throughout Winter!

Thanks CES for the nice compliment! :)))) And Anon, you always have Jack! :) He's soooo cute!!!!

I REALLY don't see myself posting Jack for three months MerlinPrincesse, even if he is cute ... have seven weird posts of him I have to do though :O

Anon I like the Give Me Food Now photo.

I wonder what happens to the birds' sense of migration when they are caged? Are they like the nuns and the monks who do not need to go to the movies and the mall or go on a trek then? They just remain cloistered.

Posted the sceaming bird MerlinPrincesse and Ces :) I do hope all owners of caged birds maintain the temperature to be warm for them!

Gorgeous photo. It has a retro feel. great colors. Seems cats have been replaced by birds amongst this crowd! HUMPH. Tinkerbell says "PEE ON YOU"!

I wouldn't care seeing only Jack for three months..Hhehhe. Not only cute but funny. Jack eating. Jack killing the green ducky. Jack sleeping. Jack trying to eat Anon... Hhehhehe }:-}

Ces, I think birds that are born in cages don't really mind. But for the other ones that are caged later, it's certainly a big stress... Must be a prison more than a cloister... :(

Seems the birds have eaten the Hellcats...for now! Hhehehe But as you know, Hellcats are like Phoenix.... They can come back any time. Helloooooo badbadbadbad Tinkerbelllll! It's always a pleasure to smell you... :)))))Pee on yoooo tooooo said Mlle Princesse! :) And a little *vomit*

À l'aquarium de Vancouver? Je ne me rappelle pas avoir vu cette merveille. Ma mémoire commence à me jouer des tours :-(.
