GABRIEL

My co-worker friend, Nancy, has sent me this pic of her son Gabriel with two sled dogs . He made a ride with them. My friend has been able to capture the exact moment of complicity between the dogs and the little boy and I wanted to show this magnificent photo to you.

This photo steals my heart away, MP. This is my favorite dog in the world, maybe because it most looks like the wolf, which I identify with (as you know). What a great capturing of "complicity." Thank Nancy for letting you share it.

Ginnie: I just told my friend 2 minutes ago. She's very glad! And I'm glad too that you love it so much. I find these dogs soooo cool. Those are very happy dogs, living in the wild but being very attached to their human friends... Probably the nearest link for us to the real wolves. (Think I told ya that woolf is a part of my personal totem).

Than you for sharing this. It's a keeper: a perfect moment and a perfect mood. Everything seems so incredibly pure in this photo.

That's exactly the feeling of January, here in Quebec. All is white and very radiant! Days are becoming longer, and the light is so nice this time of year. Even if it's the coldest of Winter, I feel really better in January! Over is the november-december-blues!

Tes deux derniers envois représentent tout deux les plaisirs de l'enfance, mais à deux saisons totalement opposées! C'est amusant!

This photo is a perfect example of Cartier-Bresson's Decisive Moment:

"the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as the precise organization of forms which gives that event its proper expression."

A beautiful work!

I had forgotten about your wolf totem, MP. Hmm. I'd love to hear more about that!

So glad January is perking up for you :) A minute every day, half an hour a month of more light till the summer solstice! I think of that every year after we pass the Dec. 21st mark.
