ILLUSTRATIONFRIDAY:SEA

Fait avec Corel Painter et Photoshop
Made with Corel Painter and Photoshop

Some like mountains. I really am a water person. Sea is fascinating me. I imagine all kinds of wonders in the deepth. I want this drawing to be an homage to all the fishes who are haunting the deepness of The Big Blue.

Fantastic work and so wonderful colors, I like this a lot.

This looks like layered tissue paper. The fish are so fluid -- how perfect for the subject.

merlinprincesse a dit…

Thanks, Katili. The most wonderful thing is that it's made only with digital. It's only my second trial with Painter. Small correction has been made with Photoshot, wich I know a lot better. (Nice Icon)
Andrea: From the fish's specialist, this is an honor!!!!! :o)

LA! Oh, my dear, it is Beauti-i-iful! I love the tissue paper idea, it would be so cool to see that done.
I think the colors(I know everyone monitors are different, but lovin' what I'm seein') are wonderfully balanced and just the right drifting cool over the warm. Well done!

ldahl: I'm touched by such a nice comment.
Anon: I was really surprised by this watercolor effect. And you can also choose wich kind of paper you want to use. Very funny to do.
Detlef: Thanks. Your "creature of the sea" is a wonder. Is that finally your self-portrait? LOL.

Cream a dit…

Great drawing! I love using Painter!

merlinprincesse a dit…

Cream: Gee you really speak French! As-tu vu le magnifique film "Le Grand Bleu". Ahhh! La mer. Ce doit être à cause de nos ancêtres marins... ;o)

Ça fait un bel effet avec Painter. Je trouve que tu dessines tellement bien! Les poissons sont pleins de vie et de frétillement

Caroline a dit…

Fabulous - and so glad there is another person enjoying Painter out there - 'cos I think it is fab! You've really got those watercolours to look real. (I've not done so well with them... yet... )

Also brilliantly lose watery fish for the subject.

Mei: Merci! T'es une chouette copine!
Caro: I'm just beginning with Painter but discovered that you can choose the grain of the virtual paper. It makes all the difference!

merlinprincesse a dit…

Marc: Merci beaucoup. Et Bienvenue sur IlloFriday!!!!! Et sur mon Blog, bien sur...

modroom a dit…

This is beautiful. I love the loose lines and the colour layering. Very aqua and flow. And you've chosen underwater too....:::-)

goldo a dit…

miam, des poissons pour merlinprincesse ... :o)

modroom a dit…

So this image was done entirely using software, you did'nt scan anything in?

merlinprincesse a dit…

Goldo: Tu réussis encore à me faire rigoler, malgré ta peine... Prends soin de toi mon ami.
Modroom: Yep Mushroom, entirely. I first made the background, then I draw the fishes with my pad. No scanning. I finally used Photoshop to modifie a little my image... I'm soooooooooooo good! (And humble)....

modroom a dit…

Seeing as it's soooo good, you're allowed to say that......:::::-)

Hellcat a dit…

merlinprincesse a dit…

Where is that mushroom... Smooching with some strange fish?

Thanks for this nice compliment, Crosshatched! :o)

Todd DeWolf a dit…

Brilliant! Love it.

Grace a dit…

So how do you do this? You paint it then use ink? or ????

merlinprincesse a dit…

Holly: Thanks!
Gracie: No dear! It's an all virtual painting. Made with a program called Painter. I will send a copy of the digital drawing to you when I will send this Théo painting to your mommy! Give a big hug to Oreodog and Jack! Kiss!

Ginnie Hart a dit…

Ok, so now after all that (above comments) I must add that when I first snorkeled (it was in St. Croix), I kept saying over and over again, "Omigod, omigod, omigod!!!" Seriously! I couldn't believe it. It was like I entered a different world.

merlinprincesse a dit…

I really thing that snorkeling is like an out-of-body experience! Once I did it in Acapulco's Bay. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

carla a dit…

This really transports me under the water...everyting is floating and sinuous...the colors and shapes are watery...I love it!

merlinprincesse a dit…

Thank you very much Carla! Had fun doing it!!!

Anonyme a dit…

i love the depth you gave this. and the true sense of being underwater.

merlinprincesse a dit…

Catnapping: I really don't know how I could achieve that... But it was kindofun...I love to be underwater....

Unknown a dit…

Nice watercolor water. I'm starting to use watercolors now... just getting used to them. I like the way they are bleeding together in this.

merlinprincesse a dit…

Those are digital watercolors... Thanks for the compliment!!!
