Hier fut une journée de photographie. Claudine et moi avions décidé, il y a quelques mois, que dès que les beaux jours reviendraient, nous referions cette photo avec le clown que j'avais prise il y a trente ans. Il fallait attendre les bonnes conditions de lumière, car l'ombre portée de la fenêtre n'est pas la même en hiver. Hier était vraiment la journée idéale!
Le clown que Claudine tenait dans ses bras avait été faite par la marraine de Clo, Ritadaphné, qui visite et commente mon blog régulièrement. Quand Geneviève est née, elle a évidemment hérité du clown! :)
Et voilà! L'ambiance de cette photo couleur est très différente de celle de la photo N&B. Mais tous les éléments sont essentiellement les mêmes. Trente ans se sont écoulés entre la prise de ces deux images. Le temps passe...
Yesterday was a Photography Day! Claudine and I had decided, a few months ago, that we would take the same pic with the clown that I had taken of her 30 years ago. But we had to wait for the right time, because the light is different in Winter and the shadow of the window is not the same. Yesterday was really the perfect day for that!
The clown was made many years ago and given to Clo by her godmother, my aunt Ritadaphné, a frequent visitor and commenter on my blog! When Gene was born, Clo gave her the clown. :)
And VOILÀ! Not the same atmosphere in the colour pic, isn't it! But all the elements are essentially the same! Thirty years...MY! Time goes by!

J'ai toujours aimé cette photo. Elle est empreinte d'une telle nostalgie... Et celle avec Geneviève l'est tout autant. Ce sont vraiment deux magnifiques photos!

CS: Nous avons attendu un petit peu pour pouvoir avoir une ombre presqu'indentique à celle de la première photo... Mais je pense que ça en valait la peine. J'avait bien hâte de voir ce que ça donnerait, puisque je désirais faire la photo depuis quelques mois déjà...
Jenn. It's a little bit like time travelling... :) I love photos that show the effects of time on things or people! The first pic was taken with my first real camera. A non-reflex 35mm... Now I have a Cadillac, the Canon Powershot S2 IS...:)

This is unbelievable, MP. To walk down Memory Lane like this and capture the same thing twice, 30 years apart--is almost unheard of, especially with mother and daughter. Absolutely incredible! You deserve a nice award!!

Touching pictures. The clown has done well, over the years, it seems. (And so has Claudine, but that goes without saying!) The only toy I still have that's that old is a pillow with Oscar the Grouch on it my mother made me when I was a baby. My kids have it now :)

Ritadaphné: Le vieux clown se porte très bien. Il a mieux vieilli que moi... LOL! Merci à toi de l'avoir donné à Clo il y a si longtemps. Ça a produit un enchaînement d'événements heureux!
